One of the more apparent advantages: a fresher feeling after brushing. The powder helped to make the mouth cleaner for a while, and there was some improvement in the freshness of the breath when the powder used regularly. Oral hygiene basics was done fairly well and did give a perceived impression of having one more step in the normal brushing routine. The findings were not compelling enough, however, to support all of the claims as advertised.
The improvements in stain removal and whitening were relatively slight and incremental. Overall, the amount of surface stains was minimal, although there was some change in the appearance of these stains with time. The product was not as effective as in some marketing literature as an instant whitening product. During regular use it did provide some level of satisfactory benefits particularly in terms of keeping the mouth cleaner, and making it fresher. It was still a product I would recommend to try, but anyone new to the product should not have unrealistic expectations for instant whitening. The powder is best used as an oral care aid, and not as a full teeth-whitening product.
