Testing Wall Breeze Portable AC
After hearing that Wall Breeze Air Conditioner could cool things down quickly, make small spaces more comfortable and be a more energy efficient option than regular air conditioners, I decided to put to test the claims made by the portable Air Conditioner. Because it was small and promised to be easy to set up, it seemed like a good choice, especially for personal use.
Unfortunately, the experience was not good. The cooling was poor and the product was more a cheap product being sold off as a good air cooler than a good cooling system.
Identified Concerns
The primary drawback was that it could not cool a room much longer than it took for the room to cool down significantly. The differences in temperature in the room was small, although there was an effect of the airflow with very close proximity to the device. It worked not nearly as well as a portable air conditioner, as it was marketed. It was really more like a small fan, that did not really cool things, than a cooling device.
A second worry was the credibility of the ratings and reviews from the customers, many of them sounded like hype and even less sincere when tested personally. Prices were also not consistent with the lower prices available on sites like Amazon. This gave the impression that the product was too expensive for the performance that it provided.
Product Design
One of the few positive aspects was the product design. The sleek design and contemporary look were impressive, and indicated a high quality portable device. It was fashionable, portable and lightweight. But in addition to the pretty looks, the performance did not live up to the company’s hype. The return was also frustrating, stressful, and more than anticipated to deal with, adding to the disappointment.
Verdict
Wall Breeze Air Conditioner is not as powerful and efficient as it claims. I spent some time looking into Wall Breeze and I don’t think it measures up to the hype that is claimed for it. The biggest issue is not that the product exists. It is how it is sold. This is because the small fan has been marketed as a powerful heating and cooling unit, and is not likely to be able to replace traditional air conditioning.
If you are buying a cooling unit this summer, you may want to stick with a well-known brand and skip the gamble on a new gadget being hawked on social media.
